Bedford Playhouse Terms & Conditions
General Terms
- Playhouse Bedford reserves the right to refuse entry.
- Children must be supervised by their parents or another responsible adult.
- There must be a minimum of one supervising adult for every 5 children.
- Playhouse Bedford staff are unable to take responsibility for children at any time.
- Playhouse Bedford 'Rules of Play' and 'House Rules' apply at all times and these can be found at the entrance to Playhouse.
- Playhouse Bedford will be open to other members of the public unless you have chosen to hire the facilities privately.
- Adults and children entering Playhouse Bedford must not be suffering from any sicknesses or contagious conditions otherwise you maybe asked to leave.
- Socks MUST be worn at all times by children and adults.
- Only food and drink purchased from Playhouse Bedford may be consumed on the premises.
- Baby food is permitted on site.
Booking Terms
- Pre-booking is advisable to ensure your preferred date and time.
- All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- No booking will be confirmed until payment is made in full at time booking is initiated.
Payment Terms
All bookings must be paid for in full. Payments must be made in advance over the phone, online or in person, using a credit or debit card.
Party Booking Terms
- All payments made to Playhouse Bedford are non-refundable. This includes if a party guest does not turn up on the day of booking.
- Party bookings need to be made for a minimum of 5 children and paid in full. Final numbers to be confirmed and paid for 2 weeks before party date including any food allergies/dietary requirements.
- Failure to pay in full before the specified deadline, will result in cancellation.
- A minimum of 4 weeks' notice is required to reschedule a Party.
- Playhouse Bedford is unable to reschedule party bookings with less than 4 weeks' notice for any reason.
- Playhouse Bedford reserves the right to change the location of the party and will notify the organiser if this is necessary.
- Additional food items can be purchased on the day subject to availability.
- Only food and drink purchased from Playhouse Bedford may be consumed on the premises – please note bringing "extra" food for your party is not allowed with the exception of a birthday cake.
- For toddler parties there must be one supervising parent/adult to every 2 children. Any more than one adult per child will need to be authorised before arrival.
- Children are not permitted to re-enter the play area after finishing in the party room unless agreed with a Manager.
- Facepainting needs to be agreed with a Manager during your party booking and a disclaimer will need to be signed by the organiser for all children attending. This is mandatory and must be booked in advance, no exceptions will be made.
- The use of party poppers or sparkler candles is not permitted.
- Entertainers are not permitted to enter Playhouse Bedford unless this has been authorised by Management prior to the party.
- All children will be counted on entrance to Playhouse Bedford, if the number exceeds the number booked an additional charge will be added per child. All adults attending parties will also be counted on arrival and will need to be paid for after the party.
Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Show Policy
- Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Non attendants will be considered as cancellations.
- Refunds are not available for no-show or cancellations.
- All cancellations must be made by telephone, email or in person. Cancellations will not be taken any other way.
Video & Photos
- Playhouse Bedford may take photos and/or videos during your visit for safety and quality control purposes. The footage may also be used at our discretion for marketing purposes. If you wish not to be photographed and/or videoed, please let us know in writing in advance of your booking.
- Playhouse Bedford uses CCTV both outside and inside the premises for the safety our customers and staff as well as for quality control purposes.
- Please consider the privacy of other guests at Playhouse Bedford when taking photographs or filming. Please ensure photographs taken inside Playhouse Bedford are that of your own children or party.
Data Protection and GDPR
Playhouse Bedford may store personal data in order to provide our services, and for operational reasons. This follows compliance with GDPR Legislation as of May 2018.
The data we hold is basic contact and identity information (name, e-mail address and phone numbers) for customers who make bookings with us. This information is held for contact, booking confirmation and marketing purposes.
For the purposes of sending out confirmation e-mails, newsletters and other marketing communication it is necessary to disclose e-mail addresses to external service providers. These service providers are required to respect the security of the data and treat it in accordance with the law, and we do not allow them to use the data for any other purpose.
Force Majeure
We will not be liable, or responsible for any failure to perform, or any delay in performance of, or any of our obligations under the Contract; that is caused by any act or event beyond our reasonable control.
If an Event Outside Our Control occurs that affects the performance of our obligations under the Contract:
- (a) we will notify you as soon as possible
- (b) our obligations under the Contract will be suspended and the time for performance of our obligations will be extended for the duration of the Event Outside Our Control.
Where the Event Outside Our Control affects our delivery of Products to you, we will arrange a new delivery date with you after the Event Outside Our Control is over.
